Every February

Rome HeART Project

The Rome HeART Project, a partnership with Redmond Regional Medical Center, sees local artists decorating large cement hearts and heart garlands with their artistic vision of heart health. The hearts are placed throughout Downtown Rome during the month of February to bring heart health awareness to the community.

Late April

Firefly Fling

RACA’s largest annual event, FireFly Fling is an entertaining evening of food, music, and art. A student art competition is held in conjunction with the event. All proceeds from FireFly Fling further our mission of enriching the creative life of our community through the arts.

Spring each year

Ellen Axson Wilson Arts Fest

This festival, honoring first lady and Rome native Ellen Axson Wilson, is held in the spring of each year. Attendees can shop works produced by local artists, and the event concludes with a lantern parade, a glowing procession of light and art along Rome’s rivers and historic downtown.

Rome Beer Festival

Rome Beer Fest is an annual celebration of the art of beer and fundraiser for the Rome Area Council for the Arts. The festival is held each year in Heritage Park, and includes more than 150 different beers to sample, along with food and live music.
